Over the years the most common form of decorating one’s body is mostly through tattoos and body piercing. These make women look more trendy and attractive.
A tattoo is a permanent marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin in order to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons.
Women are increasingly opting for large tattoos. Women are definitely becoming more experimental in the shapes and sizes of their designs.
Heart Tattoos for Women
One famous tattoo that has been reproduced many times on the bodies of women is a small heart tattoo. Hearts make a great statement for many women, who want to have something permanent to remind them of a person they love. Others just like the beauty of a heart tattoo. It is still till date popular amongst women. It gives a very graceful and elegant look.
Female Themed Tattoos
Many tattoo enthusiasts also see flowers as tattoos for women. Butterflies, fairies, dragonflies and other delicate images are also primarily tattooed on women. Another type of tattoo that is often seen on a woman is a male-oriented tattoo that has been given a bit of a female flare. Some women may choose to get a dragon tattoo, for example, but have it colored in such a way that it is unmistakably female. Other examples are flames (colored purple and pink instead of the traditional red and yellow) and skulls that have flowers intertwined in the design.

Japanese Style: Fish, water, and fire giving feminine looks.
Lettering: Old English and others.
Religious Tats: Sacred hearts.
New York Style: Bold outline and bright, bold colors.
Fine line: Highly detailed work that reproduces the effect of a drawing or painting on skin.
Realistic: Often portraits or photos, most often in black and white.
Henna: For those who are not seeking a permanent tattoo. Apart from tattoos body piercing is a popular body art.
The most common place where piercing is done is the ears. But now the trend seems to be, getting jewelry pierced on many other parts of the body.
Belly button or Navel Piercing: Belly button piercing is a woman’s choice. Piercing with gemstones has become a popular choice, more so among the young women.
Nipple Piercing is equally popular among women. But nipple piercing could take around six months to heal. There could be some complications during breastfeeding if you get your nipples pierced.
Tongue piercings are also quite popular these days.
Face Piercings: The very fashionable eyebrow piercing is done at the end of the eyebrow, which is closest to the cheek. Nose piercings with small rings are also a very popular choice for the face .The other common place for piercing is the area between the nostrils above the mouth. and also the brigde between the nose and eyes.
