A hairstyle is a major factor in determining the over all appearance of your personality. It can make or break your look. So it is essential to choose the right hairstyle for yourself. Hairstyles have to be matched with the type of hair you have and the face cut. The texture of your hair is a primary factor while choosing your hairstyle. Wavy and curly hair works well with simpler haircuts. The natural movement and texture of the hair has to be considered when choosing the right haircut. Some styles lend themselves easily to fine and straight hair. The face shape also plays a major role in determining the hairstyle. Environmental factors also effects the way your hair behaves. Like humid climate may turn your hair greasy and limp. Lifestyle also is a key factor. If you rush to work in the mornings then a simpler and quick hairstyle is just the right one for you. An elaborate hairstyle which requires careful styling may not be apt for you. Apart from all factors the most dominating one is the face cut of the person.
If the length of your face is a bit longer than the width then you have an oval face. Congratulations! This is the face cut that allows you to try different haircuts. Your hair can be pulled away from your face or even layered to make it more interesting. Any style will do actually. You have the in-proportion features that are made for any type of experimentations so enjoy your luck.
If your face length and width across your cheek bones are almost equal then you have a round face. The advantage is such kind of a face gives you a stereotypical “baby look”. A round face tends to look full though. To compensate this, opt for hairstyles that creates volume at the crown of the head rather than the sides. Hair length should be either short or longer than the length of your chin as hair near the center part will make your hair look all the more fuller.
If your jaw line and your forehead measurement are almost equal then you have a square face. The haircut should be such that it softens the lines of your strong jaw. Ask for side swept bangs, long layers and a side part. Curls or waves also soften a square face and gives you a cuter look.
Is your face widest at the forehead and narrows down towards the chin? Then you have a heart-shaped face. This shape looks best when hair is fullest at the jaw line. A chin length bob looks great but don’t go much shorter as it may highlight your broader forehead.
If the length of your face is much more than that of your forehead then you have a long face. Avoid long hair as it will make your face appear longer. Avoid volume at the crown as it will again lengthen your face. Bangs on the sides are the best for you. They can be squared off or side swept.
