How to store Jewellery

For most girls and women, the idea of fashion, style, and beauty starts and ends with a beautiful piece of jewellery. After all, there is nothing more adorable to a girl than gold or diamond jewellery in her jewellery box. Though appreciated by all, some women forget to take good care of jewellery despite the fact that small maintenance tips can go a long way in taking care of jewellery items.

1. It is never recommended to put hard stones such as diamonds and soft stones such as pearls together in one box.

2. It is always recommended that you store different jewellery items in different boxes, irrespective of their hardness and softness, so that incidents of replacement of missing stones, repolishing jewellery items, and mending broken jewellery pieces can be avoided.

3. One of the best ways is to wrap each jewellery piece in a piece of tissue and store each of them separately in tiny cloth or zip lock pouches.

4. Avoid spray of perfume on the jewellery as that can turn them black and do not make the habit of wearing earrings while sleeping as that will give a stretchy look to your ears.

5. Gold or artificial gold chains should never be kept together so that tangling can be avoided. It is always recommended to make use of a lint-free cloth for wiping the jewellery before wearing and ammonia based jewellery cleaners and avoid making use of cleaners with chlorine bleach.

6. It is always suggested that you remove all your jewellery before you go for a swim; rings, bangles, and bracelets should be best removed before any cleaning, cooking, or sports.
