The sage in style

Yoga has got star status today, imported from the west, it is gaining popularity…and there is no fitness status which can match its star status. But those days are no more there when these holistic regime followers used to be those bare-chested yogis in the hills. Yoga has gone through a big makeover has gone glam…

Staying in spirit of style
You might want to double up your gym gear as your yoga togs but keep the following pointers in your mind. If you are planning to go stylish, it is absolutely ok but don’t forget the stress lay on the right color combo to get maximum benefits out of your activity. Suitably, white or light pastel shades, since they invoke satgram or a sense of purity and serenity in ones body.

Cool cool cotton
For yoga gear, choice a suitable fabric must be the topmost priority. While high intensity workout requires sweat- absorbent fabrics, but if you wear the same fabric for yoga, it would indeed be a messy affair for you…..too sweaty to let you at peace.
Loose cotton fits, work the best for yoga. If lycra or spandex are picked by you, then choose those with higher cotton content.

While gym gear is made of slightly thicker fabric, yoga gear is thinner and not body hugging. The lowers you choose should be straight, parallel fitting and must not hang below the ankles………moreover tight fitting clothes can make it tough for you to perform exercises that needs stretching. Also, since yoga is practiced in the open, synthetics can make you sweat you even more.
Some ethnic touch
What could be yoga without any ethnic touch?
Cotton tees with some spiritual print can be a great deal, since they add the style factor to you. You can also accessorize with a rudraksh, worn around your neck, or worn around your wrist.

Yoga mat
Direct contact with earth can reduce yoga’s effect on your body. This is why yoga is always performed on a mat. These mats also prevent dirt that may trouble you in those inhalation kriyas. Yoga is also a form of worship for some, so it should not be performed with shoes or socks on.
