Size it out!

Each of us are born with a particular body type and have to face some challenges when it comes to choosing what to wear that’ll suit us the best. Some times we end up goofing up the way we look because we don’t know to pick in order to hide that extra bulge or accentuate our figures if we are too petite. However, the good news is that whatever type of body we have, there are not one but many ways in which we can adorn ourselves to look the best we can. Let’s have a look at the basic body types.

Plus Size:
Women who have larger frames are often seen wearing clothes that are lose for them. This clearly indicates that they are only wearing them to hide the extra fat to make sure that the bulge is not visible to any one. However, the importance of plus size is that it makes sure you are buying clothes that fit you well rather than wearing something that only hides your flab.

Talls:
One thing to be noted here is that if a woman is tall in height, it doesn’t necessarily mean that she has to always wear clothes of tall size only. Some tall women may have long legs where as some of them may have long waists. So one should always check the inseam for the product and then buy a particular piece.

Petites:
Petites include women having an average height of 5’4” and under. There are three major measurements that need to be kept in mind for their pant sizing – the inseam, waist and length. Where petites are usually said to have only shorter legs, it the whole body that needs to be accounted for. Hence small accessories and thin belts work best on such structures.

Well, all’s well as long as our bodies are proportionate. The real challenge comes in when we develop certain disparities in our body proportions and don’t know how to deal with it. In my forth coming article, I’ll be talking in detail about how we can dress up to balance such variances as tastefully as possible. So long!

How to drape heavy bottoms!

Draping heavy bottoms has always been an issue with most women as they are left unawares about how to clothe in a manner that doesn’t look odd. I have often seen women with heavy bottoms wearing wrong clothing that further accentuates their already broad lower frame. So here I am with some very useful clothing tips for women who have heavy bottoms and want to know how they can still dress as style divas.

Here we go:

• For all those who love to wear jeans, always pick a low waist pair with a little bit of stretch in its fibre. The ones which are too jazzy around the pockets should always be avoided. In terms of fits, the best option is the straight fits without any pleats or gathers.

• Always wear clothes that fit you well. Just because your frame is large doesn’t mean you wear clothes that are lose or seem to cling on you. Always invest in cuts that fit your shape and drape you to well without being too saggy.

• If you are into wearing simple clothing, try wearing accessories that bring eye balls towards you; maybe an attractive neck gear with embellishments.

• Regarding dresses, always pick the ones which are empire wasted because they help to draw a longer looking line.

• The best remedy is to fool the eye by wearing shades that don’t help people detect your shape. For example, wearing dark color for your lowers and lighter on top helps distract the eye from looking down. On the other hand, wearing a monochromatic uniform color throughout the outfit also works well as it creates a better sense of length.

• While wearing swim suits, choose the ones with a skirted bottom which has a normal to high cut leg.

• Wearing stripes down at the sides like in athletic shorts and pants is a great way to flatter an illusion of the length.

• Alright now this one is interesting. The best way to distract the eye from a larger bottom is to wear thin strapped or strapless tops. They work wonderfully towards drawing attention away from larger bottoms.

So you see there are not one but many ways in which you can camouflage your heavy bottoms and be as confident as ever. Ideally the key lies in being confident in whatever you wear, just that you should feel comfortable in it. Your attitude is what decides your impression on people so ‘wear your attitude’ goes the mantra of today’s times!

Style does not mean a big budget!

Women’s clothing and trends is an ever-changing process. What you see today soon becomes old and new style dawns in. Thus we see that fashion in case of women’s clothing is something that changes with every season and until you are one of those brand conscious females who buys only form high-end stores, buying such expensive clothes every season just to see them wither away the other one is not going to be an easy thing.

So here we are with some wardrobe essentials that’ll help you keep your ensembles alive, even if trends change or styles spell a new meaning in the new season.

So if you are on a tight budget, here are some key items that’ll you make you wardrobe as evergreen as ever! These could be a black or beige trouser suit, a skirt (if you choose a beige trouser suit, you could choose a black skirt to go with the jacket), nicely fitted jeans and a red and white cardigan. If you can afford only two items, then you should go in for a nice handbag and some elegant piece of jewelry. How you look speaks more than a thousand words and having an expensive looking handbag and a necklace can make a world of a difference.

What works best when clothes can’t spell the magic you want are the accessories. They make for some of the best alternatives to add the glam quotient to our clothing. So instead of investing in clothes every now and then, spending some part of your budget on accessories, the colors of which may compliment many of your dresses is a good option.

The most underlying thing that actually makes all the difference is the confidence with which you carry yourself. It is how you look at yourself that will decide how other perceive you. Thus the key lies in loving yourself and being confident in whatever you wear with absolute grace. No one can ever demean you but yourself! It is not the clothes that make you but the attitude that resides in you.
