Time to unchain your old fashion rules!


Once married and caught between kid’s recitals, house chores and a frenetic job schedule, finding time to spend on your looks becomes a gar fetched dream. Well, you needn’t get disappointed. Here are some simple and practical tips to help you discover the diva in you. Its time to turn heads and make your presence felt, once again!

Change your Monotonous Makeup Routine:
You may be in love with the way you look right now but a little modification can greatly make you look even better. Never succumb to the same make-up routine. Try a different blush tone or new ways to accentuate your eyes. It is always good to play with new colors. For e.g.: If you have been using only earthen hue for your eye shadows, try using pastel shades of green, fuchsia and frosty mauve. Say no to sparkly lip gloss:
Highly glittering lip gloss suit young girls more than matured women. And you certainly wouldn’t want to look like a wannabe. So chose a lip color that is close to your lip color like transparent cherry, natural pinks or nude shades of brown. It will render a smooth, satin finish to your lips.

Make merry with stylish shoes:
Nothing compares to shoes when it comes to stylizing yourself.Its time now to break the monotony of running shoes and clogs. Their place is limited only till the gym or in the ambience of your garden. For those who are comfortable with high heels, you must flaunt them off and on during formal and even semi-formal occasions. For those of you, who are not very comfortable with the heel thing, try ballerina flats or wedge heels. It’ll help you look good and polished.

Pull-out new hairstyles:
Have you been sporting the same hairstyle since your college days?? Well, time now to gear up for the new hair do. If you think that the swanky new hair style that is in now a days may not suit you, you may be wrong. Let your hair dresser know that you need a fresh new style, may be a fringe, layers or a blunt cut. Make sure that the style is easy to maintain and lasts at least a few months.

Baggy clothing – a big NO NO!
If you think that you are only made for the baggy fits, you are highly mistaken. Your over-sized tees and baggy jeans now need to be shown the trash can. It’s high time you start wearing the fitted tops and jeans that fits you well at the waist and goes straight till your ankles. Such a change will make you more presentable and you can now go either to the grocery store or a coffee date with your best friend with utmost confidence.

The idea behind this is not to change your personal style from a regular person to a super model but to bring out the hidden persona from within you which calls for higher confidence and grace that you are essentially capable of. Once you realize this and take a moment for yourself, the entire world will be at your feet.
