Tips to camouflage your heavy bottoms!


Okay I think this will be my last one in this series of telling women how they can dress their heavy bottoms tastefully without much coming into notice. This I believe is the biggest fashion hurdle women confront because present day life styles have given us all heavy bottoms, plus and minus a few among us. However, knowing certain tips can help you camouflage your figure in a great way. Here’s how!

I’m sure the thumb rule of dressing slimmer is to known to all but I’m still summing it up for you:

• A long cut single colored suit or a short jacket with a long skirt.

• Flared jeans popularly known as boot cuts as they give body a greater length.

• Wearing dresses with high waist lines.

• Employing prints like polka, florals and vertical stripes for the top and solid colors for the bottom.

• Single piece off-shoulder dresses.

Having a plunging neckline works really well towards this end. But you need not have a plunging V-neck or tons of cleavage to pull this off, if that is what you are thinking. What you do need is some added interest like a sweetheart neckline, a halter top or a knotted front I order to draw attention up and towards your face instead of other parts of your body. This is a great way to divert the attention of the people through what I call smart dressing!

Now as basic as this sounds but the most tasteful way to use color in order to camouflage or you can say highlight certain areas in your figure is to use contrasts. In this regard, wearing a light top to a dark colored bottom works the best. This is because it brings the eye up to the lightest hue and the top half of the body, by smartly camouflaging the bottom half. For instance, a black bottom with white top works like a dream combination in this style.
